It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jimmie Charles Lucas, at the Lennox and Addington County Hospital, in Napanee, on Tuesday, August 31, in his 73rd year, after a long battle with cancer.
Beloved son of the late Violet and Percy Lucas. Much loved by his sister Judy and her husband Murray Black, and brother Glenn and his wife Sheron Lucas. Predeceased by sisters, Clara Sine and Mary Comer as well as brothers John, Kenny, Wayne, and Terry.
He received the 'Handyman Connections Craftsman of the Year' award in the year 2000.
He left behind many nephews and nieces and many friends.
The family will hold a Graveside Service at a date to be determined. He will be laid to rest at the Marmora Cemetery.
Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A special thank you to his good friend, Randy Welsh for his many visits to Jim while he was in the hospital. Also, a thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at LACH for the kindness and compassion they showed Jim and his family while he was in their care.
