Obituary of Steve Meagher

MEAGHER, Lawrence Stephen “Steve” ~ retired from C.N.R., entered into rest peacefully, at his home in Belleville, on Sunday, January 27th, 2019, in his 68th year. Son of the late Lawrence “L.A.” Meagher & the late Madeline (nee Walden). Cherished husband & best friend of Faye Meagher (nee Millard), for 44 years. Loving father of Angie Bell (Aaron) of Belleville. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Brady Allen & Aiden Allen and by his step-grandchildren; Jackie Bell & Taylor Bell. Dear brother of Karen Hubble (Steve), Lynne McLaren (John) and Marg Van Norman (Randy). Steve will be missed by his 6 nephews and sister-in-law & brother-in-law; Blake & Ferne Carrol. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273), on Thursday, January 31st, 2019, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 1st, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. Mark Sullivan officiating. Spring inurnment to take place at Belleville Cemetery. A special thank you to Dr. Levesque and nursing staff at Belleville General Hospital (Oncology Department), for the kindness and compassion shown towards their family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wesleyan Church, would be appreciated by the family.
