It is with deep sadness that we must share the news of the sudden passing of our loved one, Richard Alan William Reilly.
He was larger than life and touched many people in his short time with us. You always knew when he arrived, and he would not have it any other way. While he may have had a rough exterior, he wore his heart on his sleeve and was a large teddy bear. Rick loved to be outside, and he was there for anyone, at any time that they were in need. He will be missed by all, including is animals.
Beloved son of Janice and the late Raymond Reilly. Dear brother of Rose (Frank), John, Robert, Anthony and Richard C. He is survived by his children Ashley (Josh), Brittany, Carter, stepdaughter Haily and his grandchildren. His many nieces and nephews will remember him as Uncle Ricky Pooh and his friends will remember him as Ricky Bobby.
He is predeceased by his father Raymond, by his brothers, Raymond JR, Ralph, Danny, Ronald, by his sister, Janet and by his nephews Luke and Xavier.
Due to the current public health situation, and for the safety of the Reilly family and friends, a formal visitation and funeral will not take place at this time. A private visitation was held at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville, (613-968-2273). A Celebration of his Life, will take place at a later date (to be announced), when the current restrictions with COVID-19 ease. We can then gather and celebrate Rick’s life and legacy. All will be welcome. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the local Food Bank or the Belleville Branch of the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated by the family.
